Sell Your Textbooks - Sell back your used text books to either a bookstore or to other students who are going to take that class. This is a great way to get a return on something you probably won't ever use again.
Get a Job - Even though it may not sound like the best option after a day of classes, getting a real job on campus is a perfect way to make a decent amount of money. Based on how much money you want, you can request a certain amount of hours. Be careful to not overload yourself because you're in college to get good grades first.
Play Online Games - I have tried this one out more than anything else. Online poker offers a great way to make money with sites like Pokerstars.com . If you are good at poker, you can make thousands, even enough to pay for college itself. But if you're like me you'll end up losing most of the time. Thats why I tried a site calledMoola. This site is completely free. At the same time though, it offers its players the chance to win over $10,000,000 yes, $10,000,000. When you first start, you will recieve $.01, yeah i know a small amount. But then the fun starts. Play one of three games to double the amount you bet. That means if you win only 30 games in a row, you will win over 10 million. Now obviously winning 30 games in a row is hard, pretty much impossible, but its not hard at all to win 5 or so in a row. Slowly build your way up like I did and cash out any time you are above $10. I have won over $150 this way and all for free!
Tutor - If you're good at a certain subject, help others out with it. Look for people in your classes to tutor or in classes that you have already taken. Some websites offer students a chance to tutor others or answer single questions for money. Student of Fortune is one of these great sites.
Make a Blog or Website - Write about a topic that you enjoy or create a website based around that topic. With all of the pay-per-click businesses out there, it is easy to make a little extra cash if you can get traffic to your site. Keep your site interesting and spread the word as best you can.
Donate Plasma - If you're not afraid of needles, then donate blood once or twice a month for $30-$40. Not only are you helping yourself out, you're also helping others who really need it.
Sell Things on Ebay - If you have extra things laying around the house after you move out for college, sell them. An old guitar and amp or a stereo system can get a lot of extra money. Also, if you have an Ebay account but have nothing to sell, sell other people's belongings. Ask for a percentage of the profit and put it for sale for them. This is a great way to make money for virtually doing nothing.
Sell Notes to Fellow Students - So many college students would love to skip class every day if they could. They might even pay to do it. Tell your friends or people sitting next to you that if they want, you can give them notes for a small price so they don't have to come to class every day. After all, if you're already taking notes, its so simple to just print out an extra copy for $5 or $10.
Complete Online Surveys - Survey sites are popping up all over the place. Most of these sites are scams or are not worth the work for what they pay, but if you can find a legit site, then it is well worth your time. The only site that i have had a little success with is Cashcrate. It pays pretty well (I have made $76 in 2 months) and allows you to keep track of how much you make which is cool to watch that number rise every day. They pay with Paypal so the payment is quick and easy and they pay at the 15th of each month. A good site if you are set on surveys.
Look for Scholarships - You won't "make" money by doing this but you can same a huge amount. Getting a scholarship sometimes allows you to save enough money to buy a car after or during college or in some cases, even a house. Even though writing a 5 page paper may sound boring to you, it is well worth the 3 or 4 hours for thousands of dollars. Go here to look for college scholarships
Drink cheap - If you drink and are looking to go out, DON'T drink at a club or bar. One drink at a club can be $7-$8 which means you could drink 15 beers for the same price. Also, drink the cheap beer. Yeah it may not taste the best but its college, you'll get used to the taste. Buy the cheap liquor and mix it. It will have the same effect as the expensive brand and will taste pretty much the same. DON'T give away free drinks! Unless it's for your girlfriend or your best friends, don't buy or give anyway anything. People will take advantage of this so fast you wont even know where your $35 went. With that being said, mooch off people as much as possible. Go to parties with free beer and drink/take all you can. Pay $5 to get in to some parties but make sure you get your money's worth.
Bet on Your Skills - Every college student is looking for quick, easy money. Usually the best way to find this is to bet. If you have a unique skill challenge others to a game of it. In my case, beerpong was my skill. The first two weeks of college, my partner and I went 18-1 in beerpong games. If we had bet, say $5 on each games, we would have been up $85. Not only is that a lot of money for two weeks, we made that money drinking, partying, and playing games with friends. What could be a better way to make money than that? Betting on games of pool or pingpong can also be just as fun and rewarding if you are good.
Eat Cheap - Eat whatever you can get on your meal plan. Don't ever waste a meal or any food, if anything save it. If you don't have meal plan, buy in bulk. Get cheap things like soup or snacks that don't go bad. Always get free food when you can either from parents or from promotions through school.
Do Laundry for Others - Laundry pretty much sucks in college. The washers and dryers always seem to be taken. Then when you finally get one, you have to sit around for 2 hours waiting for your loads to be done. But if I made $5 every load I did, it do it in a heartbeat. Offer friends, roommates, or nextdoor neighbors to do their laundry for them. Then when you put in their loads, get your homework done, play on your laptop, or watch T.V.
